About Us
Haydon Bridge United has existed as a football club since 1881, that's the same year as the infamous gunfight at the OK Corral, 27 years before the Model T Ford car was in production, and a staggering 35 years before the national grid connected our homes to an electricity supply. Much has changed in the world, but our commitment at Haydon Bridge United to offering adults and children the opportunity to play 'the beautiful game' is as strong as ever.
Thanks to the hard work of many individuals over the years we are in the privileged position of owning our grounds at Low Hall Park, and as a result of fund raising and some wonderful local sponsorship can now offer a very high standard of facilities. These achievements culminated in Haydon Bridge United being amongst the first wave of football clubs to be awarded Chartered Status by the Northumberland Football Association, an accolade that demonstrates our commitment to the FA Development Plan.
We now have ten teams from Under 8's to Veterans, all of whom have access to qualified coaching, training equipment and a support network. Our objective is to continue to promote football in the Haydon Bridge and Tyne Valley areas with the support of everyone connected with Haydon Bridge United.
We have a tremendous team of Officials, Managers, Coaches and Supporters who volunteer their valuable time to work with our Players and Teams, and we are always looking for people who would be willing to join us in improving the club. If you are interested in volunteering, have a great idea, or would like to offer sponsorship, please contact the Club Secretary through the 'contact us page' on the website.
Please stop by again...... thank you for your interest.
